If you’re new to our group, Friends’ member Jean Haller continues, throughout the year, to collect calendar pictures that she turns into lovely book marks with the dates for our book sales attached to the back. She thanks you very much and so do we!! So, if you have an old calendar lying around, bring it along to the meeting!
Reminder: Our September meeting is the 2nd Monday as the first Monday is the Labor Day Holiday and library is closed.
If you are interested in ordering a PFOL shirt, please let us know. We will be putting in an order after the September meeting.

Literary Quotes for July
“The
first week of August hangs at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long
year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning.”
–
Natalie Babbitt
“It
was August, and the fields were high with corn.” – Melanie Gideon
“The
weather is great, and the sun is always out in
August.”
–
Anna Scott
“Remember
to be gentle with yourself and others. We are all children of chance, and none
can say why some fields will blossom while others lay brown beneath the August
sun.” – Kent Nerburn
